Heavily influenced by natural landscapes and automatic processes, I have been creating monochromatic pen drawings on a variety of different surfaces and scales. The drawings contain many different forms of line and mark making techniques, and are not confined to pre-determined compositional constraints. Recently I have begun to experiment further with drawing surfaces (Paper, wood, Hardboard and canvas) and have begun to work in larger scales. The work is defined by its intricacy and life it takes during the journey. I want the meaning to be derived from the viewer's personal interpretation and close inspection.
